Author, Bondage & Restraint Educator
One half of the rope bondage instruction duo, Two Knotty Boys, JD has been teaching interactive rope bondage and restraint workshops for nearly two decades. He’s co-authored, along with Dan of Two Knotty Boys, the best selling books, Two Knotty Boys Showing You the Ropes (2006) and Two Knotty Boys Back on the Ropes (2009). Since then, he and Dan have traveled around the world teaching their unique brand of fusion rope bondage and have created over 100 rope bondage instruction and restraint tutorials. His personal knowledge and perspective of our lifestyle are simply invaluable and we’re extremely excited to have him!

Robert J. Rubel, Ph.D. (Dr. Bob), author, educator and photographer is an educational sociologist and researcher by training. He currently has eleven books in print and two DVDs. Dr. Bob is the Series Editor of Power Exchange Books’ Resource Series (the successor to Power Exchange Magazine). This is a series of books that are collections of highly focused essays that cover a wide range of special topics within the larger field of BDSM.

Body awareness is important for the rope bottom to efficiently express to the rigger what is going on in the body to prevent injury. This leads for better communication, trust and a deeper connection for the best experience possible.
